Coral transplanting project with University Bandung

We started a coral transplanting and reef restoration project in co-operation with Bandung University (Universitas Padjadjaran) directly in the front of the dive center. This is an area we can control and easily keep clean.

We have now a coral seed nursery growing and seven replanted metal star constructions. And this is only the start. The corals will be transplanted to damaged parts of the barrier reef around Bomba. We will keep the project growing with hopefully help from you!

JOIN!

Please join us for collecting seeds, cleaning the nursery from algae and do transplanting.

SUSTAINABILITY

We try to do our best to be as sustainable as possible. We mainly use solar panels for electricity and we only start our generator for a few hours in the evenings if many customers want to charge their electric devices. Usually it's so sunny that we have than enough natural power.

Of course we also try to recycle as much as possible, which is not always so easy, compared to Europe. For example there's no ways to recycle batteries here, so I or our customers bring them back to Europe and they get recycled there. Most of our dive lights have rechargeable batteries but we still tend to have a small collection here, so if you space in your bag and you're heading back home, please tell us!
